Cefalu – due prosecco per favor!

We woke up at Taormina and the motorhome was covered in light coating of volcanic dust from Etna which was continuing to pump smoke and dust into the Sky.

It was time to make our way back to Palermo along the north coast. First stop was an overnight on the beach at Milazzo. The plan was to catch a ferry out to either Vulcano or Stromboli which is still active to round out our euro volcano adventures.  Small hiccup  -One ferry departing 7am  stuff that!!

It was onto Cefalu and what a stop it turned out to be.  After walking the cobbled streets of this pretty village we found a fabulous wine bar over looking the sea and the sunset.  We liked it so much we had to go back again the next day. Truth be told we were over sightseeing so sitting in a wonderful spot with a cold glass of Prosecco in hand was just the medicine. 6 glasses plus nibbles for 15€.  Unbelievable. This was definitely a high spot on the trip! Next stop Back to Mondello and Palermo
